1) Nilamboor Teak Museum
Malappuram is the best known place for teak wood. The widest and thickest teak wood forests are in Kerala, a southern state of India. Nilamboor Teak Museum is situated 4kms from Nilamboor, a city in the district of Malappuram. The Nilamboor Teak Museum is a two storied building. Since it is the first teak museum of the world it has great importance in teak tourism. Nilamboor Teak Museum tourism is now operated by the Kerala Forest Research Institute. The exhibitions of Nilamboor Teak Museum include many articles made of teak wood. It provides us historical, artistic and scientific information.

The Nilamboor Teak Museum was established in 1995 of the historical significance of teak treasury of the area. World’s first teak plantation was planted in Nilamboor in the 1840s by British. Nilamboor Teak Museum tourism is the best place to study everything about the wonder tree teak. The main attraction of the tour Nilamboor Teak Museum is the paintings portraying tree felling operations of teak at different seasons.

Teak wood mainly is used for outdoor and indoor furniture, boat decks, etc. The durability of the teak wood furniture is very long. The well finished teak wood furniture remains for centuries. The Nilamboor Teak Museum tourism is also likewise durable. The older carpenters used to make different frames, doors and even beams of houses on teak wood and they are still very strong and still highly valued. The teak wood is also resistant to termite attacks. The sustainability of teak wood teak wood tours is unbelievable.

The tourist spot Teak Museum Nilamboor is the perfect place for the nature lovers to get a good knowledge of teak wood. Nilamboor Teak Museum narrates us the thematic and aestheticism of nature. We can also learn various methods of seed-grading, pre-sowing treatment, preparation of teak stumps, vegetative propagation of teak and the different stages in the complete rotation cycle of teak from seed to mature tree, etc. We are also presented with a beautiful collection of over 300 butterflies, moths and insects found in teak plantations.

The nearest airport to Nilamboor Teak Museum is the Calicut international airport which about 40kms from the museum and the nearest railway station is just 3kms away from Nilamboor Teak Museum.

2) Nedumkayam Forest

A few foreigners came to my home during last vacation with my uncle who works in Dubai. And I it was my duty to take them the best tourist spots of Kerala. I was told to select a forest in Kerala with a splendid variety of flora & fauna. Having visited many of the forest tourisms of Kerala, my first choice to take them was to Nedumkayam. And I came to know that my decision was right when I was rewarded for the same with a brand new handy cam when the tourists returned. Nedumkayam forestry is just 18 kms from Nilamboor (Nilamboor) in Malappuram district, Kerala, India.

The famous tourist place Nedumkayam forest is a rich rain forest. The rain forest Nedumkayam has a wooden rest house which was built by the British. The wooden rest house of Nedumkayam offers us an attractive view of the elephants and deer grazing near by.

There some rules and regulations kept up by the Department of Forest for the better maintaining of the forest and safety of the wild animals of Nedumkayam tourist forest. First of all, we have to get the permission from the Department of Forest, Nedumkayam to enter the forest Nedumkayam. Nedumkayam tourism has an elephant taming centre too. Nedumkayam tourism takes the major part in making the place Nilamboor an eco-tourism destination.

A half an hour journey through the dense forest Nedumkayam will leads us to the settlement of Chola Naikars, a primitive tribe. We can have a better understanding of the primitive tribes’ life style here in Mancheri. Another attraction near by Nedumkayam is the Adyanpara waterfalls in Nilamboor Taluk. The attractive tourist place Nedumkayam is equally attractive to the lover of nature, the botanist and the naturalist as Nedumkayam tourism region offers every charm in forest, mountain valley and cultivated plain and the wild life including elephants, bosons, deer, tigers, blue monkeys, bears, boards, rabbits, wild cats, dogs and a variety of birds and reptiles. Thus the Nedumkayam tourism is rich in forestry and wildlife.

4) Padinjarekara Beach

Padinjarekara Beach is one of the best beaches I have ever been to as it offers us a beautiful view of the convergence of the rivers Bharatha and Tirur and the Arabian Sea. It is part of the Malappuram tourism of Kerala, India. The specialty of Padinjarekara Beach tourism is that Padinjarekara Beach provides a natural beauty and scene to the Padinjarekara Beach visitors at all the seasons.

The main attraction of the most visited tourism place Padinjarekara Beach is the rows of elegant palm trees. It is a great loss certainly if you don’t visit Padinjarekara Beach while having been into Kerala tourism. The endless beauty of miles of white sands and palm trees are the best attractions of Padinjarekara Beach.

The Padinjarekara Beach is not a ravaged beach by the visitors of the place. So, there is nothing wrong in calling it virgin Padinjarekara Beach. The Padinjarekara Beach tourism is the best to understand the hospitality of the Indians and the people of her state Kerala. The hospitality of Kerala tourism could be best understood in Padinjarekara beach tourist spot. The weekend holidays at Padinjarekara Beach are the best of Kerala tourism.

5) Thirunavaya Temple

The ancient temples of Kerala, India are world famous. The tourists’ visits to the ancient temples of India have made the temples tourist temples. One of the main tourist temples of Kerala is Thirunavaya Temple. The tourist place Thirunavaya Temple is situated on the bank of River Bharathapuzha which is dedicated to Lord Navamukundan Vishnu. The other deities of Thirunavaya Temple are Lord Ganapathy and Goddess Lakshmi. The Thirunavaya Temple tourist spot is in the district of Malappuram of Kerala state.

Although there are many myths regarding the establishment Thirunavaya Temple, the main and mostly believed is this. One of the myths of the history of Thirunavaya Temple is with the deity Nava Mukundan. The myth is as follows. The idol of Nava Mukundan was the ninth one to be installed in the shrine. All the first eight idols were vanished as soon as they were placed there and it was a miracle that the ninth sank to its knees before it was forcibly stopped. It interesting part of it today is that the image of Lord Navamukundan is portrayed only from above the knee, the rest of the image being hidden under the ground. The offerings and prayerful deeds done to please Lord Vishnu in Thirunavaya Temple are attractive and are new ways of worshipping gods for the foreign tourists.

Thirunavaya Temple tourism can be reached and enjoyed from a short distance of 26kma from the Calicut airport. The Malappuram district is connected with all kinds of transportation and with all the main towns of Kerala. So, Thirunavaya Temple, Malappuram is the main tourist spot of Kerala.
